Distinguished Guests,
A warm welcome to my dear colleagues and fellow participants in
the Asian University Presidents Forum 2008!
AUPF is a cooperative effort among
Asian universities which offers an opportunity for presidents and
other senior administrators of the member institutions to exchange
creative ideas and share rich experiences. The past 6 forums have
greatly proved and developed the value and significance of AUPF.
This year¡¯s forum with the theme ¡°Education and Employment; International
Communication; University Culture¡± will help us farther on the way
of Asian university cooperation. It will also mark a new beginning
of more all-around collaborative efforts among the member institutions
in the future.
This year Anhui University is celebrating
her 80th anniversary. I am very honored that our university can
host the Asian University Presidents Forum upon this important occasion.
I believe with all of the distinguished guests¡¯ presence and witness,
our anniversary celebration will be more meaningful and splendid.
I am certain that the kind advice and suggestions from all the guests
will shine the way ahead to the development of our university.
