On
the morning of February 25, 2006, Chery Automobile Co.,Ltd. held
the ceremony of ¡°Chery 21st century Oriental Son Scholarship¡±
and bestowing Oriental Son cars in Hefei. Yu Zhifang, vice-director
of Anhui Provincial Education Department, and Li Feng, general
manger of Chery Distribution Company attended the ceremony. Some
relevant principals and students¡¯ representatives from University
of Science and Technology of China, Hefei University of Technology,
and Anhui University attended the ceremony as well.
At the ceremony, Ye Hua, deputy-secretary
of CPC of Anhui University, and Li Feng signed the contract on
establishment of the scholarship program in Anhui University.
The contract will take effect from 2006 to 2008. Anhui University
also accepted one New Oriental Son car.
It was announced at the ceremony that
from 2006 the company would establish the ¡°Chery 21st century
Oriental Son Scholarship¡± in 30 universities in China. Every
year each university will encourage and put premium on 21 excellent
students from poverty family. Each student will benefit from this
project by encouraging 2100 Yuan each year.
