On 27th, April, Anhui Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government held a grand ceremny to honor 673 provincial advanced workers and 100 provincial advanced collectives in Anhui Theater. Guo Jinlong, the secretary of Provincial Party Committee and the director of the Provincial People’s Congress Standing Committee, attended the meeting and gave an important speech. Wang Jinshan, the governor of Anhui Province and the deputy secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, chaired this meeting. Provincial leaders, including Yang Duoliang, Sun Jinlong, Sun Zhigang, Wang Xiufang, Huangyuezhong, Huang Haisong, Zhang Li and Liu Dongsheng, attended the meeting. Sun Zhigang, executive deputy governor of Anhui Province, read the honor decision. Then these provincial leaders awarded medals and certificates to those provincial model workers and provincial model collectives.

Anhui University was honored as one of Anhui Provincial Advanced Collectives. On behalf of our university, Lu Qinyi, the secretary of our university attended this ceremony and made a speech as a representative of all the honored collectives.

The provincial ceremony-honoring is held every five yeas. The people and collectives honored this year are those who made great achievements in our province’s reform and opening up and the construction of modernization.
