On May 6th, a meeting with a special topic was held in the auditorium
in the administrative southern building, seriously summarizing the preliminary assessment of undergraduate education and pushing the work forward.

Those who attended this meeting included leaders of our university, Lu Qinyi, Huang Dekuan, Wei Sui, Ye Hua, Wu Xianliang, Yang Jiaqin, Du Xianneng, Wang Yuankuo, Li Renqun and the staff of the undergraduate assessment directive council. Besides, the leaders of different departments, faculties, the leaders of concrete units of the undergraduate teaching and working assessment and the leading staff of the assessment group also attended the meeting.

The meeting was chaired by the secretary of our university, Lu Qinyi. Forty people reported the problems found in the preliminary assessment and gave the plans of following work. Du Xianneng, the vice president of our university, gave a full-scale plan of the following work of the undergraduate teaching and working assessment.

President Huang Dekuan released an important speech in the meeting and said that the assessment of the undergraduate teaching and working should be a necessary part of the undergraduate teaching in our university. We should make use of this assessment to further improve the level of undergraduate Teaching and management. There are 181 days left before the experts from the Education Ministry enter our university, so all the work in our university should be prepared for the last moment. The related branches and faculties of our university should attach more importance to the work and improve their work. The assessing work in our university should be further strengthened and the level of teaching should be improved. What is more, we should also intensify the promoting, learning and training of the assessing work and the arrangement of the assessment.

Lu Qinyi summarized in the meeting that the preliminary assessment was an active practice for the preliminary assessment which will be carried by the provincial council in September and the formal assessment which will be carried by the Ministry of Education in November. All the staff in our university must attach great importance to the assessment of undergraduate teaching, cooperate well, have strict discipline, build great confidence and deal with the relationship between assessing work and other work well, distribute time and energy reasonably and make sure that the assessment of undergraduate teaching reach the predetermined goal.
