This year our university continued to undertake the task of correcting papers of Chinese and comprehensive arts according to the arrangement of the provincial enrollment committee and the examinations authority. This was the fourth time for our university to undertake such an important task.

This year 563,000 people participated in this examination to colleges in our province. This number was the biggest so far. Though our university was preparing for the evaluation of undergraduate teaching by the Education Ministry, it still accepted the task of correcting papers. The total number of papers corrected in our university was 825,000 papers (including 562,000 papers of Chinese, 263,000 papers of comprehensive art), with an increase of 22% than last year. The task began in June, 10. In order to perform this task well, the CPC Committee and administrative leaders of our university attached great importance to it. Relevant branches made much preparation. With the joint efforts of all the teachers who were correcting papers and the working staff, the task was finished successfully.

The whole task was finished on the morning of June, 18, a day ahead of schedule.
